Dr Kahane has wanted to become a physician since the age of 3. Very few children complete grade school, middle school, high school, and beyond with a singular career vision in mind. However, Dr. Kahane never wavered from his dream to become a physician.
From kindergarten straight through to medical school, Dr. Kahane never took any time off to achieve his aspirations. He completed his medical school at Ross University School of Medicine in 2015 and became an established member of the Bradenton community by becoming a part of the first ever residency class at Blake Medical Center.
While there he served 1 year as Chief Internal Medicine resident. He is proficient in complex patient care, autoimmune diseases, and everyday medical concerns. Dr. Kahane is fluent in both English and Spanish and is excited to join the Ellenton Urgent Care team.
In his spare time Dr Kahane enjoys the beach, water sports, politics, watching football, and spending time with his dog.

Hi, I’m Ashley, and I have been an EMT for 12 years, with working experience in EMS, emergency room, and primary care settings. I spent 10 years working on a critical care ambulance in Georgia before moving to Florida where I’ve worked in the Emergency Room. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, exploring local breweries and farmers’ markets. My family and I spend most of our time at the beach or fishing. I hope to spread happiness and good vibes to all my patients and their families.
Our story began a few years ago when we saw many faults in the care that patients were receiving in the emergency room and in the hospital. Patients were waiting hours upon hours to be treated and then discharged from the ED, only to receive astonishingly high bills in the mail. Patients who were admitted often became sicker while they were in the hospital due to hospital acquired infections. And finally, due to corporate cut backs, nurses were unable to provide the care that patients deserved because they were overwhelmed with large patient loads and very little support staff to assist them.
From shopping in the Ellenton area, and being lifelong residents of Manatee county, we noticed that the entire area north of the Manatee River was without any urgent care offices! We listened to friends who were driving 30 minutes to an hour to the nearest urgent care, only to sit and wait for another 30 minutes to an hour to be seen. So we decided that Ellenton, Parrish and Palmetto needed help, and Ellenton Urgent Care was born.
